WARM WEDNESDAY; RAIN & UNSETTLED WEATHER FRIDAY AND INTO WEEKEND… Skies will be mostly sunny on this Wednesday with high temperatures again in the low- to mid-80s. No rain is expected today but scattered showers will become possible across the region on Friday. The overall forecast has trended a bit wetter for the weekend and early next week with multiple rounds of light to moderate rain being possible.
MAINLY SUNNY TODAY AND THURSDAY… No significant weather issues are expected today or on Thursday other than the possibility of patchy areas of dense fog in the early morning hours each day. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-80s today and tomorrow. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s tomorrow morning.
RAIN POSSIBLE FRIDAY… Scattered showers will become possible across south Alabama and northwest Florida on Friday as a frontal boundary approaches from the northwest. Rain amounts will generally be around one half inch or less. The greatest chance of rain looks to be Friday evening into Friday night, although scattered showers may become possible in the morning hours of Friday as well.
UNSETTLED PATTERN THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK… Moisture from our southwest will continue to gradually move in over the weekend and into next week, meaning rain chances will be low but NOT zero on Saturday, Sunday, and into Monday. Right now, there is no discernible signal of any severe weather episodes.
TROPICS QUIET… The entirety of the Atlantic Basin does not have any tropical hotspots, meaning no tropical storms or hurricanes are expected to develop over the next 5 days. The 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season will officially end on Thursday, November 30.
