INCREASING CLOUDINESS TODAY; SHOWERS WED. EVENING; MORE RAIN THIS WEEKEND… Cloud coverage is set to increase across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Tuesday. High temperatures will again make a run at the 80 degree mark in many communities across south Alabama and northwest Florida today. No severe weather issues are expected today or tomorrow anywhere across Alabama or northwest Florida. There is a severe weather risk today well to our north across parts of Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. Our next chance of rain and thunderstorms across the local area will happen on Thursday into Friday.
NICE TUESDAY; MORE CLOUDS AROUND THIS EVENING… Mostly sunny skies this morning will transition to mostly cloudy skies by the end of the day. High temperatures will be in the 70s closer to the coast and in the low-80s farther inland today.
FEW SHOWERS AROUND TOMORROW EVENING… Isolated showers may develop on Wednesday evening as a cold front moves by our region. Showers will gradually cross our region from northwest to southeast. No severe weather issues are expected locally on Wednesday. High temperatures on Wednesday afternoon will be in the 80s. Cooler air will filter into our region Wednesday night.
DRIER THURSDAY AHEAD OF RAIN & STORMS THIS WEEKEND… Rain chances will remain quite low, but not completely zero, on Thursday. I expect the daytime hours of Thursday to be cool with high temperatures in the 60s.
MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF RAIN & STORMS THIS WEEKEND… Rain is likely at times on Friday and Saturday. A few thunderstorms may be in the mix as well. High temperatures will rebound into the 70s by the weekend. For now, severe weather parameters remain low, although a few stronger storms may happen just offshore on Friday into Saturday. This is something I will be monitoring over the next few days.
