PARTLY CLOUDY & WARM TODAY; FEW SMALL SHOWERS MAY HAPPEN… Let me be clear in saying nearly all of us across south Alabama and northwest Florida will remain dry on this Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s and near the 90 degree mark by 2-3PM. A few highly isolated, small showers may develop later today. It is impossible to pinpoint exactly where these small showers may form, but be advised a localized downpour or two cannot completely be ruled out today even though the chance of rain is quite low. Warm, dry days are likely tomorrow and Friday ahead of a few showers becoming possible again this weekend.
HIGHS NEAR 90 DEGREES ON THURSDAY… Low-end chances exist today of a few communities briefly hitting the 90 degree mark. I expect most communities, however, to top out in the upper-80s today. Tomorrow, however, will be a different story as many more communities have their first 90 degree day of 2024. Highs will be in the upper-80s near the coast and near 90° farther inland. Mostly sunny skies are likely throughout the day on Thursday.
LOW-END RAIN CHANCES THIS WEEKEND… Warm temperatures with an increased amount of humidity is likely as we get into the upcoming weekend. Isolated showers will be possible on both Saturday and Sunday. Widespread heavy rain and severe storms are not likely this weekend, but there may be showers around at times. If you have outdoor plans this weekend, a lot of them may be able to proceed as scheduled, but I would have an indoor backup plan ready just in case your community is under one of the scattered showers.
