BERYL MOVING WEST; DANGEROUS STORM TO APPROACH JAMAICA… This is the 11AM CDT advisory for Hurricane Beryl from the National Hurricane Center. Beryl now has maximum sustained winds of 150 mph. A Hurricane Watch is in effect from Jamaica.
Beryl will likely continue moving west toward the Yucatan Peninsula. Interests in Mexico and Belize should closely monitor the progress of Beryl over the next few days. A Hurricane Watch or Tropical Storm Watch may be required for the Cayman Islands soon. A Hurricane Watch will be needed by midweek for parts of the Yucatan Peninsula.
