SLIGHTLY LOWER HUMIDITY AGAIN TODAY; LOW-END RAIN CHANCES THIS WEEKEND… If you have stepped outside this morning, you know it feels absolutely wonderful for a late August morning. Temperatures are in the mid-60s in many spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Wednesday. Partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-90s this afternoon.
TROPICS QUIET… The National Hurricane Center issued their final advisory yesterday on Ernesto, now a powerful post-tropical system moving across the northern Atlantic Ocean. Now that Ernesto is off the board, the remainder of the Atlantic Basin is quiet with no new tropical storms expected to develop over the next 5-7 days. This is great news as we are approaching the climatological peak of hurricane season on September 11. Activity will probably ramp up across the basin in September, but obviously it is far too early for any specifics on what to expect. I’ll keep you posted every step of the way!
LOW-END RAIN CHANCES INTO THE WEEKEND… Rain chances will be low, but not entirely zero, over the next several days. It is going to be a deal where we will see a few, highly isolated, showers and thunderstorms primarily in the afternoon and evening hours each day. MOST spots will probably remain dry each day. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-90s each day. Morning lows will be in the upper-60s and near 70° over the next few mornings.
