WARMING TREND THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK; SUNNY, NICE DAYS… Sunny skies are expected today, tomorrow, and Sunday with pleasant temperatures. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s today. If you are headed to a high school football game across the region tonight, I am expecting game time temperatures to start in the 60s. Some of the games, especially those further inland, will have temperatures in the 50s by the 4th Quarter around 9PM. More sunshine and nice weather is upcoming for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. High temperatures will be in the upper-70s on Saturday with 80s likely on Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows will be in the 40s tonight and tomorrow night ahead of 50s for lows on Monday morning.
TROPICAL UPDATE… The two tropical disturbances we have been tracking over the last few days, one in the western Caribbean Sea and the other in the Atlantic Ocean near the northernmost Lesser Antilles, remain disorganized. Both systems, at this point, seem more likely to fade away in the days ahead. I will continue to monitor these systems over the weekend, but neither is expected to ever directly affect Alabama or northwest Florida at this point. If that changes, I’ll let you know in the RedZone Weather app.
APP… If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free RedZone Weather app to keep up with all the latest information on the world of weather in south Alabama and northwest Florida. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download. Once you have the app downloaded to your iOS or Android device, be sure to visit the Alerts tab (lower right corner) and tap the Alert Settings button to customize the alerts you would like to receive straight from me.
