ISOLATED STRONG STORMS TODAY; HOT TEMPS CONTINUE… Much of the day will feature partly cloudy skies across south Alabama and northwest Florida. There could be a few isolated stronger thunderstorms today with downpours of rain being possible across the region. While the thermometer will read 92 or 93 degrees this afternoon in the middle of the day, that’s only half the story. Dewpoint values will be in excess of 70-75 degrees, meaning the heat index values will soar into the low-100s. The big takeaway: A very hot, humid day with scattered storms likely.
