STRONG STORMS IN WEST ALABAMA… While much of our region east of I-65 is now in much more stable air, strong to severe storms have fired near the Alabama/Mississippi state line near the Yellow Pine community where a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect. Storms in Clarke, Choctaw, and Washington counties are slowly moving south. Damaging wind gusts will be possible shortly near Yellow Pine and Barlow in west Washington County near the state line.
Storms will fade over the next hour or so as we lose daytime heating. More showers and storms will pop up on Sunday afternoon/evening.
