STORM OVER ANDALUSIA… The shower/storm “hotspot of the day” is clearly central Covington County this afternoon. Heavy rain is falling at Andalusia, Sanford, Carolina, River Falls, Pleasant Home, and Libertyville. This storm is not severe, but it will continue to produce heavy rain and lightning over the next 30-45 minutes.
Elsewhere across south Alabama, the only other small shower in progress is happening near Brantley and Gantt Lake in northern Covington County.
We also note a few small showers have developed along the seabreeze near Foley, Pensacola, and Mary Esther. Widespread severe weather is NOT expected today.
