WET, STORMY WEDNESDAY MORNING… Numerous showers and thunderstorms are in progress across south Alabama and northwest Florida this morning. Moderate to heavy rain is happening across the entirety of Covington and Okaloosa counties. Rain and storms are a bit more scattered back to the west. Communities east of a line from Thomasville to Atmore to Gulf Shores have scattered storms in progress.
FORECAST OVER NEXT FEW HOURS… I expect this large shield of scattered storms to continue moving east. Many locales across the region will get a break, in terms of rain/storm action, late morning into the early afternoon hours. More storms will pop up later this afternoon across the region.
