CALM & COOL WEATHER AHEAD… We’ve got a solid week ahead of dry, cool, CALM weather! 2019 has been very active for our region with numerous severe weather episodes. This week, however, we get a much needed break. Any lingering rain will exit to the east this morning. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 50s today with clouds likely hanging tough until later this evening. Overnight lows by Sunday at 6AM will be around 40° in most spots. Again, the big weather headline this week will be nice and quiet conditions. A few details…

COOL TEMPS THROUGH TUESDAY… Sunday through Tuesday will feature partly cloudy skies each day with high temperatures in the 60s and overnight lows in the 40s. No rain is expected. No freezing temperatures are expected. No severe weather is expected. (Wow, all of that is nice to say for a change!)

SUNNY & WARMER LATER IN THE WEEK… We’ll call for full sunshine during the daytime hours of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. High temperatures will increase into the low-70s by Wednesday. We’ll approach the 80 degree mark by Friday. Overnight lows will consistently be in the mid- to upper-40s. No rain or severe weather is expected in this timeframe, either.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE NEXT WEEKEND… The major weather models (ECMWF & GFS) point to our next chance of rain happening late Saturday into Sunday (a week from today) when another cold front will approach from the west. Far too early to speculate about storms or severe weather, but we are in the heart of our primary severe weather season. It’s something to watch over the next week.

Enjoy your weekend!
