HURRICANE NAMES RETIRED… The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has retired the names “Florence” and “Michael” from the hurricane naming lists after the two hurricanes caused major devastation in North Carolina and the Florida Panhandle this last year. The two names have been replaced by “Francine” and “Milton” for the 2024 naming list.
