MOSTLY SUNNY TUESDAY; FEW STORMS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY… Partly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the upper-80s are likely on this Tuesday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. We have a small rain chance setting up for Wednesday, although I expect vast majority of us to remain dry. Temperatures will be steadily increasing throughout the week. We’ll be in the low-90s by Friday. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will make a return to our area by the weekend. Let’s look at a few forecast details…

LOW RAIN CHANCES ON WEDNESDAY… Isolated showers and thunderstorms may bubble up in the heat of the day tomorrow (Wednesday). The greatest concentration of rain and storms will likely happen in the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures on Wednesday will again be in the upper-80s.

COOL MORNINGS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY… Overnight lows will be in the low- to mid-60s on Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. This could be the last bit of “heat relief” we get for quite some time, so if you’re up around 6AM on either of those mornings, be sure to step outside and feel the cool(ish), crisp air. We will quickly rebound during the daytime hours of Thursday and Friday to near the 90 degree mark in the afternoon hours. Both Thursday and Friday are likely to be dry and sunny.

SHOWERS & STORMS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday, Sunday, and into Monday as the daily deluge of afternoon thunderstorms returns. Rain chances remain fairly low, but not zero. Severe weather is not expected as these will likely be the pulse variety of thunderstorms that pop up in the heat of the day.
