PARTLY CLOUDY TODAY; RAIN TO RETURN ON TUESDAY… Scattered clouds are in place across south Alabama and northwest Florida with temperatures in the upper-70s in most spots. Rain chances will remain low tonight and on Monday, but Tuesday will likely feature scattered showers and thunderstorms. Our weather pattern will increasingly be unsettled until we get to Friday when a cold front is set to move through our area. Much cooler temperatures are expected with highs dropping into the low-70s by Friday. Severe weather parameters this week remain very low, for now. Let’s look at your forecast specifics.

MAINLY SUNNY & WARM ON MONDAY… Warm and dry conditions are expected on Monday. Mostly sunny skies will be in place across our region. High temperatures will peak in the mid- to upper-80s. Cloud coverage will progressively increase throughout the day ahead of higher rain chances on Tuesday.

SHOWERS AND STORMS AT TIMES TUESDAY… Rain and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day on Tuesday, but the greatest chance of rain is most likely in the afternoon and evening hours. Severe weather chances remain low on Tuesday as of now, although there could be a few general thunderstorms below severe limits. High temperatures on Tuesday will be in the low-80s.

UNSETTLED MIDWEEK AHEAD… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible on Wednesday into Thursday ahead of an advancing cold front. Our region will be in the warm, moist sector out ahead of the front during the middle part of this week. High temperatures on Thursday will probably make a run at 90 degrees in most spots.

MUCH COOLER AIR ARRIVES FRIDAY… Cooler temperatures will be in place on Friday into Saturday after a cold front moves across our region. Highs will drop into the low- to mid-70s with morning lows expected to be in the 50s by the time we get to the upcoming weekend.
