WARM TUESDAY; SHOWERS POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY… Most spots will start the day dry before having more rain later this evening into Wednesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are set to move back into area later this afternoon into this evening. The Storm Prediction Center maintains a low-end risk of strong to severe storms across the far southwestern flank of Alabama in parts of Mobile and Washington counties. This risk is in place due to the very low-end chance of a few stronger storms capable of producing gusty winds and hail. The tornado risk remains very low. We have more rain on the way for Wednesday into Thursday. Let’s look at your forecast details.

LOW RAIN CHANCES TODAY; MORE RAIN POSSIBLE TONIGHT… Cloud coverage will increase across the region on this Tuesday. There could be a few showers and thunderstorms this evening and into Wednesday. The overall risk of severe weather remains low for the entire local area. If any storms can become strong or marginally severe, that will likely happen across west Alabama.

TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR TO BECOME EXTRATROPICAL… Tropical Storm Arthur is quickly becoming a memory as the system is in the process of becoming completely extratropical. The remnants of Arthur will move toward Bermuda over the next few days. The rest of the Atlantic basin, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, remains quiet.
