CLEARING SKIES TODAY; QUIET PATTERN AHEAD… Clouds will continue to move to our east on this Wednesday now that a frontal boundary has moved through our area. High temperatures will be in the low-60s closer to the coast and in the upper-50s farther inland today. Temperatures will be in the upper-30s tonight in what will likely be our coldest night out of the next 7 days. We won’t remain cold, however, as highs will make a run at the 70 degree mark by tomorrow afternoon. Most communities locally will have sunshine by the end of the day ahead of a gorgeous, sunny day tomorrow. Our next chance of rain happens Friday night, but much of the weekend should be dry and cool. A few more Wednesday forecast details are below.

MAINLY CLEAR TONIGHT AHEAD OF SUNNY THURSDAY… Skies will be mostly clear by the time we get into the evening hours tonight ahead of sunny skies on Thursday. I expect overnight lows early Thursday morning to be in the upper-30s across much of the area, perhaps as far south as the Interstate 10 corridor in some cases. Temperatures will be in the low-40s near the immediate beaches tomorrow morning. We quickly warm into the 50s and 60s late Thursday morning ahead of an afternoon high near 70 in most spots. Full sunshine is expected on Thursday throughout the day.

CLOUDS INCREASE FRIDAY AHEAD OF RAIN FRIDAY NIGHT… An area of low pressure will develop across Oklahoma and the Great Plains and quickly dive to the southeast over Louisiana and ultimately the Gulf of Mexico. This area of low pressure will fling Gulf moisture into our area Friday night, paving the way for scattered showers to form. A few showers may linger into early Saturday morning.

COOL WEEKEND AHEAD… High temperatures will be in the 60s on Saturday and on Sunday ahead of slightly warmer temperatures early next week. Sunshine is expected Saturday afternoon and all day on Sunday.

MOSTLY SUNNY EARLY NEXT WEEK… Sunshine is expected on Monday into Tuesday as a surface high pressure area keeps us dry through at least Tuesday afternoon. Highs will be near 70 with morning lows in the mid-40s.
