PASSING CLOUDS AT TIMES TODAY; NEXT 10 DAYS TO BE MAINLY SUNNY… You may look up and see some puffy, white cumulus clouds at times today. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible to our west across parts of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, but our local area is expected to remain dry today. High temperatures will be similar to yesterday with most locales peaking in the mid-80s. Looking ahead, we have an extended streak of QUIET weather!

HIGH PRESSURE KEEPING US DRY AND INCREASINGLY WARM… Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny and warm. High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-80s each day. A large ridge of high pressure will continue to bring sunshine and warmer temperatures to our region into the weekend. High temperatures could make a run at the 90 degree mark by Friday or Saturday.

TROPICS QUIET… No tropical storm formation is expected in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, or the Atlantic Ocean over the next 5-7 days. The 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season will officially begin on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
