CLEARING SKIES TODAY; COOL DAYS, COLD NIGHTS THIS WEEKEND… Clouds will continue to move out, giving way to sunshine across the region by the end of the day. High temperatures on this Friday will be in the low-70s. Enjoy the warmth this afternoon as we have much cooler air set to move into the region late tonight into Saturday. High school football playoff games tonight will be chilly with temperatures in the 50s at kickoff and by the end of the games. We are entering a streak of dry, cool days that will extend well into next week. I’ve got all of your Friday forecast details below.

LOWS NEAR OR AT FREEZING MARK SUNDAY MORNING; FROST POSSIBLE… Saturday night will likely be our coldest night of the season so far with overnight lows likely to be near the freezing mark in communities along and north of U.S. Highway 84. Frost will be possible across the entire region, thus we all will need to move sensitive plants inside.

SUNNY DAYS NEXT WEEK… Quiet weather is ahead for early next week. Sunny skies are expected Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with high temperatures rising from the upper-60s on Monday to the mid-70s by Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight lows will be near 40 on both Monday and Tuesday mornings.

TROPICS ARE QUIET… No tropical storms are expected to develop this weekend or early next week in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico. There is a real chance we may have seen all of the storms in the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The season officially comes to an end on Tuesday, November 30.
