SUNNY START TO THE WEEK; WARMER TEMPS BY WEDNESDAY… Mostly sunny, mild days are ahead with cold nights through the middle part of the week. High temperatures on this Monday will be in the upper-60s and near 70 in most spots. Temperatures will again be in the low-40s by daybreak on Tuesday ahead of a slight warming trend starting tomorrow. High temperatures by Wednesday will be in the mid- to upper-70s. Our next chance of rain happens on Thursday, although rain chances certainly look questionable. A few more Monday morning forecast notes are below.

A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE THURSDAY… Showers may become possible on Thursday, primarily in the afternoon and evening hours, as a cold front approaches our local area from the northwest. It remains to be seen just how abundant the moisture return out ahead of the frontal boundary will be, but there may be just enough moisture involved to produce a few scattered showers across south Alabama and northwest Florida. There is a real chance some communities will remain dry, however. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-70s.

NICE WEEKEND AHEAD… Regardless of the rain coverage on Thursday, the weekend looks dry and nice. Highs this weekend will be around the 70 degree mark with overnight lows near 50. That is climatologically close to our normal temperature range for this time of year.

NO SEVERE WEATHER IN SIGHT… November has been quiet so far and that trend looks to continue into the latter half of the month. I see no signs of any severe weather events over the next 5-7 days. We’ll keep you posted as more data comes in. We are still ten days out from Thanksgiving, thus it is far too early to give forecast indications for what Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Iron Bowl Saturday will feature.

TROPICS QUIET… No tropical storms are expected to form over the next 5-7 days in the Atlantic Basin, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. There is a high chance the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season will produce no more named storms through the end of the season on November 30. Good news!
