LOWS BELOW FREEZING MONDAY MORNING; HIGHS MONDAY IN 40S… Winter returns tonight with overnight lows expected to be at or just below the freezing mark by daybreak on Monday. Overnight lows (what you see on the thermometer) will be in the 25-30° range in many spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Temperatures will not rebound that much on Monday with most locales ending up only in the upper-40s for an afternoon high.
The cold air moving into the local area won’t last long. High temperatures will rise into the 60s by Thursday. No signs of an extended duration of cold temps or major severe weather events anytime soon. Our weather pattern over the next few days will be seasonal by early January standards with occasional chances of rain later this week.
