ALL CLEAR FOR SOUTHWEST ALABAMA & N.W. FLORIDA WEST OF DESTIN… After a long day AND a long night of many, many tornado warnings, I am thrilled to be able to give a final and complete ALL CLEAR to our local area in southwest Alabama and northwest Florida. This means ALL CLEAR for all parts of Mobile, Baldwin, Washington, Choctaw, Marengo, Wilcox, Clarke, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Covington, Escambia (AL), Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Escambia (FL) counties.

TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES TO OUR EAST… A Tornado Watch continues until 6AM for several counties in southeast Alabama and in the Florida Panhandle from Walton County eastward. A few tornadoes may be possible in the hours ahead in these areas.

We note a Tornado Warning is in effect for much of southern Walton County, FL as of 4:15AM including areas near Santa Rosa Beach, Seaside, Blue Mountain Beach, and Freeport. Possible tornado moving onshore near Santa Rosa Beach.

CLEARING SKIES LATER TODAY… Skies will gradually clear from west to east on this Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the low-70s. Sunny days are ahead with no signs of any more severe weather over the next 5-7 days. Great news! I will have a full forecast video posted by 7:15AM.

DAMAGE REPORTED IN VARIOUS SPOTS ACROSS REGION… Summerdale and Robertsdale in Baldwin County had a confirmed tornado earlier tonight. The National Weather Service will do a storm survey later today or tomorrow to assess just how strong the tornado was. Damage also happened across parts of Clarke and Choctaw counties in west Alabama. Several tornadoes happened across Mississippi and at least one tornado touched down in metropolitan New Orleans where significant damage happened. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the folks directly impacted by these vicious storms.
