INCREASED RAIN CHANCES TODAY – MORE P.M. STORMS… Showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Thursday. Most of the thunderstorms will happen in the afternoon and evening hours, although even late this morning, a few storms will be possible. Widespread severe weather is not expected today and the overall tornado risk remains at or near zero across the region. This weekend, no real forecast changes are expected. High temperatures will continue to be in the low-90s with morning lows in the mid-70s. Scattered storms will be possible on both Saturday and Sunday.

TROPICS CONTINUE TO BE QUIET… The long range models continue, thankfully, to show quiet conditions persisting across the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean. No tropical storms are expected to form this weekend into early next week.
