WARM TEMPS THRU THURSDAY; COOLER AIR ARRIVES THIS WEEKEND… This week will be warm but the upcoming weekend looks to feature fall weather with high temperatures in the 70s by Sunday. High temperatures will be in the 90s today and on Tuesday with overnight lows in the low- to mid-60s. Unfortunately, no substantial rainfall is in the 7 Day Forecast. This will exacerbate ongoing drought conditions across the region in the days ahead.

TROPICS: PHILIPPE MOVING TOWARD PUERTO RICO… Tropical Storm Philippe is meandering around the Atlantic Ocean just east of the Lesser Antilles. A Tropical Storm Watch is now in effect for Antigua and Barbuda in the northern part of the Leeward Islands as Philippe is expected to brush by those islands this week with the potential for tropical storm force winds. Philippe will move north in the days ahead, likely turning more to the northeast well before reaching Bermuda later this week. Philippe continues to be no direct threat to the USA.

TROPICS: RINA WEAKENS… Tropical Depression Rina is now in the final few hours of its existence. Rina will become a remnant low pressure area and fade away in the southwestern Atlantic Ocean today well away from land.

TROPICS: GULF & CARIBBEAN CONTINUE TO BE QUIET… The Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea remain quiet for now. No tropical storms are expected to develop over the next 5-7 days in the Gulf or the Caribbean Sea.
