COOL DAYS & CHILLY NIGHTS THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK… Showers will be possible at times today. Not every community across the region will have rain before the end of the day. Warm temperatures are expected on this Friday but colder air arrives tonight after the passage of a cold front. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s today ahead of overnight lows in the 50s by daybreak on Saturday. Highs tomorrow will only be in the mid-70s. Get ready for lows in the upper-40s inland by Sunday morning!
TROPICS: TROPICAL STORM PHILIPPE NEAR BERMUDA… A Tropical Storm Warning continues for Bermuda this morning as the messy core of Tropical Storm Philippe is passing by just to the west of the island. Philippe is expected to continue to move north across the western Atlantic Ocean over the next day or so before moving onshore, likely as a post-tropical system, in Maine or Nova Scotia this weekend. No direct impacts from Philippe are expected in Alabama or northwest Florida.
TROPICS: TROPICAL WAVE TO MOVE INTO EASTERN ATLANTIC… A tropical wave currently near the western coast of Africa is expected to move into the eastern Atlantic Ocean over the next several days. This tropical wave has a 30% chance of becoming a named tropical storm over the next several days.
TROPICS: GULF OF MEXICO & CARIBBEAN SEA CONTINUE TO BE QUIET… The Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea remain quiet for now. No tropical storms are expected to develop over the next 5-7 days in the Gulf of Mexico or the Caribbean Sea.
