SEVERE WEATHER RISK TO OUR SOUTHEAST AGAIN TODAY… Similar to what happened yesterday, a risk of tornadoes will exist today across parts of the Florida Peninsula (not the Panhandle, but the Peninsula) as a fire hose of moisture continues to pelt the region with scattered to numerous storms. Places like Orlando, Tampa, and Gainesville are involved in a Level 2 (out of 5) severe weather risk today with the main hazard of concern being isolated tornadoes. Please be aware of this risk if you’re traveling down into Florida today.

CLOUDS TO HANG TOUGH ON FRIDAY… Mostly cloudy skies will persist into Friday with a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. MOST communities across the region will remain dry on Friday but a few areas of rain cannot be completely ruled out. High temperatures on Friday will be in the 80s. Most of the high school football games on Friday should be dry, although some of the games will have showers and storms nearby. Grab the rain jackets and keep them handy tomorrow night!

WARM SATURDAY AHEAD OF MUCH COOLER TEMPS ON SUNDAY… Saturday will be our last warm day for awhile as a cold front will move through the area Saturday evening, ushering in cooler, drier air on Sunday. Overnight lows by 6AM Sunday will be near 50 with highs only near 70 on both Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows will be in the mid- to upper-40s early next week.

TROPICAL STORM SEAN IN THE ATLANTIC… Tropical Storm Sean developed yesterday in the open waters of the central Atlantic Ocean. Sean remains well away from land and is forecast to completely dissipate in a few days while remaining over the open waters of the central Atlantic Ocean.
