SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILL VALUES SAT. MORNING; STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE IN ABOUT ONE WEEK… Temperatures will dive below freezing again this evening into tonight with overnight lows in the 10s and low-20s by daybreak Saturday. Clear skies are expected tonight and on Saturday ahead of clouds returning on Sunday. High temperatures this weekend will only be in the 40s and 50s. Rain is set to return to the forecast in the early part of next week, specifically on Tuesday, ahead of strong to severe thunderstorms being possible toward the end of the upcoming work week.
LOW TEMPS BELOW FREEZING THIS WEEKEND; HIGHS ONLY IN 40s and 50s… The big weather headline this weekend across south Alabama and northwest Florida will be the very cold temperatures. Overnight lows tonight will again be in the 10s and low-20s. The National Weather Service has posted a Hard Freeze Warning for Washington, Clarke, Monroe, Conecuh, Covington, and Butler counties. High temperatures will be in the low-40s on Saturday with temperatures near 50 on Sunday afternoon.
RAIN & STORMS LIKELY BY MIDWEEK; SEVERE WEATHER THREAT POSSIBLE NEXT WEEK… Warmer temperatures are coming next week but along with the warmer temperatures comes the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms. It looks like Thursday and/or Friday may be the days when strong to severe storms may become possible, but it is a bit too early for any details on this.
