RAIN & STORMS AT TIMES TODAY; SCATTERED SHOWERS & STORMS THIS WEEKEND… Rain and thunderstorms are likely at times throughout the day on this Friday. Heavy rain will be possible at times with some occasional thunder involved as well. Widespread severe weather, thankfully, is not expected today. High temperatures will be in the mid-60s in most spots. While rain chances will be lower tomorrow and on Sunday, scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will continue to be possible. Our unsettled pattern will continue into early next week as well with chances of rain and storms being possible Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE AT TIMES THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS… Heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms will continue to be possible into the afternoon and early evening hours today. I expect the bulk of the rain to shift to our east by this evening with rain becoming much more scattered in nature overnight into Saturday. Temperatures will peak in the mid-60s today and won’t fall very much tonight. This evening, temperatures should be in the low-60s.

SCATTERED STORMS THIS WEEKEND… Spotty showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible on both Saturday and Sunday. Widespread severe storms are not expected but there may be loud thunder at times in the strongest of the storms. Rain amounts will generally stack up to 0.5″ to 1″ of additional rainfall this weekend.

UNSETTLED PATTERN INTO NEXT WEEK… Our local area will continue to have a chance of rain and thunderstorms each day into early next week. Some model scenarios have pointed to the chance of severe storms being possible but guidance has not been consistent, meaning the probability of severe storms currently remains low into next week. If this changes, I’ll let you know in the RedZone Weather app.
