TORNADO WATCH CANCELLED… The Tornado Watch issued earlier this morning has been cancelled for our local area. The tornado risk has ended for today. Clouds will persist for much of the day. Cooler, drier air arrives tonight. High temperatures only in the 60s on Sunday!

A few Saturday morning notes…

SEVERE WEATHER RISK TO OUR EAST… Tornado Watch continues for several counties in southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle in areas just to our east. A few tornadoes are likely later today across parts of north Florida and southern Georgia.

DAMAGE NEAR OZARK… At least one tornado happened overnight near Ozark, AL. Debris was lofted and visible on radar. No reports of injuries or fatalities but preliminary videos from the area show multiple structures damaged.

HAIL OVERNIGHT NEAR FOLEY… Large hail up to golfball size happened earlier this morning near Foley. There is a photo on my page here on Facebook showing this. Hail was reported in Bon Secour, Foley, Elberta, and into the western part of the Pensacola metro.

THANKS FOR WATCHING… Thank YOU to the many folks who read our constant coverage overnight in the RedZone Weather app. Thanks also to everyone who sent in damage photos and the photos of hail.

Have a nice Saturday!
