ISOLATED DOWNPOURS AROUND… After an initial round of stratiform rain moved through this morning, most spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida have been dry today. We note a few isolated thunderstorms are in progress as we get toward the 5PM rush hour this evening near McIntosh, Choctaw Bluff, Mexia, and Monroeville. These small storms are not moving very much at all, meaning they’re developing, producing heavy rainfall over one area, and then fading away. This will be the trend over the next few hours. Shower and storm action will fade away as we lose daytime heating.
