WIND ADVISORY FOR ALL OF LOCAL AREA… As if the tornado and damaging wind threat tonight into Tuesday was not enough, we also will be dealing with strong pressure gradient wind (or wind not associated with thunderstorms) long before and after the actual severe weather event. The National Weather Service has ALL of our local area included in a Wind Advisory where 25-35 mph wind gusts are likely this evening into tonight and Tuesday.
A High Wind Warning is in effect for coastal areas in Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia (FL), Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties.
An extremely uncommon Storm Warning is in effect for the bays and the northern Gulf of Mexico as 70-90+ mph wind gusts will be possible in the severe storms that happen over water this evening into Tuesday.
Gale Warnings are also in effect for a big chunk of the northern Gulf of Mexico.
